Our story
Big Red Roofing is a family roofing business. It started in Nebraska, and the family brought it to Scottsdale, where it has been roofing since 1987. For more than 30 years it has grown on word of mouth and referrals from customers. Mikel Wallesen took it over from his father and runs it today.

On tile replacements we don't leave a house's roof open overnight.
A full tile replacement usually takes 5 to 10 days from start to finish, depending on the size of the house and how complex the roof is.
Tile roof replacement timelines →Our standards on every roof
Save and match the tile
Tile leaks usually come from worn underlayment, so we lift the tile, lay new underlayment, replace broken tiles and relay the originals, saving and matching tile wherever we can.
Protect hips and ridges
Ridge caps get glued with mastic, and Weather Blocker goes on hips and ridges.
Reinforce high-water areas
Granular self-adhering underlayment goes where water runs heaviest, like valleys.
Drain around chimneys
A cricket goes behind a chimney so water drains around it instead of ponding.
Coat and protect spray foam
Spray foam always gets a coating because foam isn't UV-resistant, with a light tan base coat first so we can see full coverage before the white coats.
