Meet the Owners
Mikel Wallesen & Kirk Wallesen
I'm Mikel. Kirk and I have been on Arizona roofs since the mid-eighties. We started Big Red because we got tired of seeing homeowners hand over a check and end up with someone else's problem.
We're still family-owned. We're still on the jobsite. And we still pick up the phone, because that's the only way a roofing company actually works.
If you're looking for the cheapest bid, we're not always it. If you're looking for a roof that lasts as long as we promised, we're probably your guys.
Our Origin
Why We Started
Big Red Roofing started in 1987 out of a simple frustration: roofs in Arizona were being installed for the catalog, not for the desert. Heat, sun, monsoon, none of it was being engineered for.
We set out to fix that. Real roofing systems, real warranties, real people on the other end of the phone. Almost forty years later, that's still the operation.
